THE ROLE

As a Senior UI/UX Designer at Shohaus, you will be responsible for creating exceptional user experiences and intuitive interfaces that elevate our digital platforms. Leveraging your expertise in user-centered design principles, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative and visually appealing solutions that enhance the overall user journey. Your passion for design, attention to detail, and ability to balance aesthetics with functionality will play a key role in shaping our digital experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project goals, user requirements, and business objectives.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform the design process and drive user-centered design decisions.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive designs that effectively communicate design concepts and user flows.
• Develop intuitive user interfaces that align with best practices in visual design, interaction design, and accessibility standards.
• Iterate and refine design solutions based on feedback, user testing, and data-driven insights to continuously improve the user experience.
• Work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs and collaborate on UI specifications and guidelines.
• Maintain design consistency across different platforms and products, ensuring a cohesive brand experience.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in UI/UX design, and proactively apply them to enhance the design process and outcomes.

Collaborate with the broader design team to contribute to the evolution of design systems, patterns, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions for web and mobile applications.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar software.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Familiarity with front-end development technologies and their impact on design (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Strong visual design skills, including typography, color theory, and layout composition.
• Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and applying insights to inform design decisions.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and designing inclusive user experiences is a plus.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $86,000-$115,000. We offer a competitive compensation package for this position, commensurate with experience, skill, knowledge, certifications, qualifications, and location. The pay range may be different in other areas depending on the average cost of labor in that area.
