THE ROLE

As the Sr. Manager, Accounting at Shohaus, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial accuracy, integrity, and compliance. With your expertise and leadership, you will oversee the accounting operations, drive process improvements, and provide strategic insights to support our growth. Your commitment to excellence and attention to detail will be instrumental in maintaining our financial health and driving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial activities, including month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to maintain strong internal controls and compliance with GAAP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Drive continuous process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Stay updated on accounting standards and industry best practices, implementing necessary changes and improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including managerial responsibilities.
• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $67,000-$89,000. We offer a competitive compensation package for this position, commensurate with experience, skill, knowledge, certifications, qualifications, and location. The pay range may be different in other areas depending on the average cost of labor in that area.
